Pressing the TOGA button sets the command bar to what degree of pitch up?

0 degrees

5 degrees

10 degrees

When you press TOGA, the system switches into takeoff/go-around mode and the flight director locks onto a fixed climb attitude to give you a reliable initial climb path. That target pitch is about 10 degrees nose-up, so the command bar moves to about 10 degrees as soon as TOGA is engaged. This 10-degree setting provides a good balance: enough nose-up to start a solid climb and accelerate safely without forcing a steep pitch that could lead to loss of airspeed or control issues. A level flight target (0 degrees) wouldn’t initiate a climb, and a steeper 15-degree target would be more aggressive than the standard TOGA guidance. A 5-degree target is too shallow for a typical takeoff/go-around climb. So the reason 10 degrees is the best answer is that it’s the standard fixed pitch target used by TOGA to support a safe, efficient climb in these modes.
